A devastating fire has broken out at a foam factory in Satarkul area of Dhaka's North Badda.
The fire erupted at the tin-shed factory situated nearby Rahmatullah Market around 7:50pm on Friday, Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters Control Operator Md Farhadul Alam said.
Seven firefighting units rushed to the spot and doused the blaze around 9:50pm after two hours of frantic efforts, he said.
"There are no reports of casualty at this moment," he said, adding that the reason behind fire could not be known immediately.
