The National Institute of Cancer Research and Hospital (NICRH) has launched a month-long breast cancer screening campaign for women at the hospital in Mohakhali area of Dhaka.
Like in previous years, the NICRH will carry out these screenings for free throughout December, the month of victory in the Liberation War, a press release said on Wednesday.
Any woman who suspects she has breast cancer can get it screened by a team of specialized physicians on the ground floor of the hospital anytime from 9am to 1pm on working days, but not on Fridays or government holidays, it said.
Alongside this basic check-up, women can also, if they need to, have various other medical investigations, including ultrasonography and FNAC (Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology), performed for free, the press statement added.
