The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed two separate cases against expelled Dhaka South Jubo League office secretary Kazi Anisur Rahman and his wife Sumi Rahman on charges of amassing illegal wealth.
ACC Deputy Director Gulshan Anwar filed two separate cases against them with their Integrated District Office 1 in Dhaka on Tuesday.
The anti-graft watchdog has found evidence that Anisur and his wife accumulated illegal assets worth of Tk12.80 crore and Tk1.31 crore, respectively.
On October 11, Anisur was suspended from Dhaka South Jubo League over the accusation of breaching party discipline.
