BFSA finds cockroaches at Supreme Diners restaurant

The restaurant owner was fined Tk3 lakh, in default, to suffer one month in jail

Bangladesh Food Safety Authority (BFSA) has fined Supreme Diners restaurant at Dhaka’s Mirpur-1, for operating the restaurant in an unhealthy environment.

“We found cockroach inside the refrigerator, and in spices, besides the environment of the restaurant was unhealthy, and dirty,” BFSA Executive Magistrate Pankaj Chandra Debnath said on Wednesday morning.

The restaurant owner was fined Tk3 lakh, in default, to suffer one month jail time, under the Food Safety Act.
