Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 14 people, including four women, on charges of involvement in illicit activities.
Bangshal police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Shahin Fakir said on Friday that they conducted a drive at a house in Siddik Bazar area of Old Dhaka on Thursday night.
During the drive, they detained 14 persons along with 2,001 files of heroin, 110 pieces of yaba pills, 33 condoms, and Tk31,540 from their possession, he said.
The arrested are -- Babul Bepari, Liton, Arif, Kabir, Sabuj, Habib, Al Amin, Hasan, Nazmul Hasan alias Mithu, Manju, Pinky, Swapna, Kalpana, and Salma.
A case was filed against them with the police station, the OC added.
