Police have detained 19 people, including 16 girls, in raids to three spa centres and salons in Dhaka.
Based on specific allegations of running illegal massage parlours, Gulshan police raided the spa centres and salons at Navana Tower in Gulshan on Sunday.
The spa centres are -- Lifestyle and Health Club, Resident Salon and Spa, and Mango Spa.
Sixteen girls and three youths have been detained from the service centres.
"We raided three spa centres in Navana Tower based on complaints that those were running prostitution business also," Sudip Kumar Chakrabarty, deputy commissioner (Gulshan zone) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
He said drive would continue in other such spa centres gradually.
