A youth has been killed, while another injured in a road accident in Dhaka.
The incident occurred around 10pm on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Mehedi Hasan Choton, 19. The injured was Yasir Alvi Rab, 18, son of late musician Parvez Rab.
Uttara (West) police Sub-Inspector (SI) Md Sadek, confirming the matter to Dhaka Tribune, said: :The two friends, Mehedi, and Yasir were on their way to the market to buy items for Yasir's late father's Qulkhani.
"They were hit by a Victoria Paribahan bus while crossing a road near Uttara switch gate," he added.
The SI said, the deceased's body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue for an autopsy and Yasir was admitted to Trauma Centre and Orthopedic Hospital, Dhaka.
