Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s (DMP) Wari Division Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Ibrahim Khan has been suspended.
A gazette notification, signed by Home Affairs Secretary (Public Security Division) Mostafa Kamal Uddin, was published on Sunday regarding the suspension.
Ibrahim, a Bangladesh Civil Service cadre of the 24th batch, has been attached to the police headquarters following the order.
According to the home ministry notification, Mohammed Ibrahim Khan was suspended from service as per the regulations of the government service rules.
The home ministry sources said Ibrahim was suspended for allegedly accepting bribes in crores of taka for assisting land grabbers.
During his suspention, he will remain attached to the police department and will receive a per diem allowance under the prevailing rules, notification said.
