At least two people have been injured in a air-conditioner blast in Dhaka's Jatrabari.
The incident happened at an eatery in Jatrabari’s Shanir Akhra area around 11am on Saturday.
The two injured Saiful Islam, 22, and Md Imran, 20-- were employees at the eatery.
"They were injured in the explosion, and sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) burn unit for treatment," said Jatrabari police station Sub-Inspector (SI) Azmat Ali.
Residential surgeon of DMCH's burn unit, Partha Sankar Pal, said: "Both of them were in danger when they were brought to the hospital.
Saiful suffered 30% while 70% of Imran's body burned in the explosion."
Meanwhile, one of the injured, Imran said there was a burning smell when they opened the shop in the morning.
Within a few minutes he heard a blast, and lost consciousness, he added.
