A seven-year old minor girl has reportedly been raped at a hospital in Dhaka.
The incident occurred at Gonoshastha Nagar Hospital in Dhanmondi area on Thursday evening.
On information, police detained the alleged rapist the 16-year-old rapist.
Confirming the matter, Dhanmondi police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Latif said the victim has been sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) for treatment and further examination.
“The victim came in the hospital with her mother, who also works as a nurse at the hospital.”
Following the incident, hospital authorities caught the perpetrator and handed him over to police. Legal action will be taken against the accused, he added.
However, Dhaka Tribune could not reach the hospital authorities for their comment on the matter.
