Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered to bring to book those involved in the killing of a man in front of his wife in broad daylight in Barguna.
Speaking to the media about the incident, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Thursday said the incident was tragic, reports UNB.
"The Prime Minister has ordered to arrest the killers as soon as possible and make them stand trial," he said.
Quader, also the transport minister, said the killing was an isolated incident.
Rifat Sharif, 22, was hacked to death by four miscreants in front of the main gate of Barguna College on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident was captured in a surveillance camera which showed miscreants hitting Rifat indiscriminately while his wife was desperately trying to save him.
Dulal Sharif, the father of Rifat, filed a case against 12 people on Thursday. Police arrested a suspect, Chandan, from the town in the morning.
