Three new members have joined the board of trustees of Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB).
Sheikh Manjur-e-Alam, outreach and communication director of TIB, confirmed the matter in a press release on Sunday.
The new members are Central Women's University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Parveen Hasan, renowned writer and journalist Abul Momen, and East West University Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Fakhrul Alam.
They joined in the 100th meeting of TIB board of trustees on June 19.
Moreover, Dr Parveen Hasan has been appointed as the general secretary of the trustee board.
The three new members replaced Selina Hossain, Dr ATM Shamsul Huda, and Professor Syed Manzoorul Islam, who completed their tenures recently.
Meanwhile, Professor Syed Manzoorul Islam has taken charge as the ombudsman of TIB, succeeding Dr ATM Shamsul Huda.
The trustee board is TIB's highest policy-making body. The other members of the board include Chairperson Advocate Sultana Kamal, Treasurer Mahfuz Anam, and senior Advocate Toufiq Newaz.
