A committee has been formed to probe Friday's Baitul Mukarram pandal collapse, which claimed the life of one, and injured 22 others.
Confirming the matter on Saturday, State Minister for Religious Affairs Sheikh Md Abdullah said: "The five-member probe body will be led by the Islamic Foundation secretary."
The minister visited the injured at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), and National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedic Rehabilitation (Nitor) on Saturday morning, said his Assistant Private Secretary Sheikh Nazmul Haque.

The family of Shafiqul Islam, who died during the pandal collapse, was given Tk25,000 as compensation from the government.
Abdullah promised to ensure proper treatment for injured Afzal Hossain Assistant Sub-Inspector of Special Branch Shariful Islam, 36.
Previously on Friday, at least six people were killed, and dozens injured as a nor'wester swept through three districts of Bangladesh.
