A Grameen Bank official was killed when a bus rammed into his motorbike in Mirpur, Dhaka.
The accident took place around 10:30am on Sunday when Mozammel Hoque, 48, was going to his office in Uttara. He was a senior official of the bank.
Confirming the incident, Sub-Inspector Md Sharif Hosen of Uttara police station said, the injured biker was first taken to Medical College and Hospital for Women in Uttara, by some passersby.
As Mozammel’s condition was deemed critical, he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the duty doctor declared him dead, he added.
Police seized the killer bus, but its driver managed to flee the scene following the accident, the police officer added.
