Moudud falls sick, hospitalised

Moudud Ahmed was rushed to Apollo Hospital after he complained of chest pain at the High Court

BNP Standing Committee member Moudud Ahmed was admitted to a city hospital after he fell sick on the High Court premises on Sunday.

"Moudud Ahmed was rushed to Apollo Hospital after he complained of chest pain at the High Court," said Sayrul Kabir Khan, BNP chairperson's media wing member. 

He said the BNP leader, now 78, has been kept under the supervision of cardiologist Dr Shahabuddin Talukder at Apollo's Coronary Care Unit (CCU).

Moudud's Personal Secretary Mominur Rahman Sujan said, "Sir (Moudud) has been suffering from chest pain and respiratory problem since Saturday night. His condition deteriorated when he went to the High Court today (Sunday)."
