A fire that broke out at a garments factory in a 10 storey building in the city’s Mirpur area, has been brought under control after two hours.
The fire started at Poolpar Super Market in Mirpur section 14 on Sunday afternoon.
15 fire fighting units with the army, police and navy, brought the fire under control which started about 5:30pm.
Fire Service Duty Officer, Ershad Hossain, speaking to the Dhaka Tribune, said the fire originated on the 5th floor of the building. No casualties were reported.
