Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of renowned actor and comedian Tele Samad.
In a condolence message on Saturday, she prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family, reports UNB.
Samad passed away in the city's Square Hospital at the age of 74.
The actor was hospitalized on December 4 with difficulty in taking food due to a low blood platelet count.
Samad made his debut with the 1973 movie, “Kar Bou.” He made his breakthrough with the film “Noyonmoni,” directed by Amzad Hossain.
