A fire that broke out in a building in Dhaka's Baridhara area has been doused.
The fire broke out on the ground floor of the building around 7:27am on Friday.
Two units responded to the scene and were able to douse the fire around 7:45am.
Confirming the matter to Dhaka Tribune Fire Service control room Duty Officer Shahajadi Sultana said: "A fire broke out at a building in the Dhaka's Baridhara Suhrawardy Avenue around 7:27am.
"The fire originated due to an electric short circuit on the ground floor of the building. No causalities have been reported. The situation is under control."
