Speaker of Parliament Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury has expressed profound shock at the loss of lives and property in the devastating fire in Banani, Dhaka on Thursday.
In a condolence message, the speaker, along with Deputy Speaker M Fazley Rabbi Miah and Chief Whip Noor-e-Alam Chowdhury, conveyed sympathy to the bereaved families, according to a press release issued on Friday.
They also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls.
