Ducsu-elects to assume office on March 23

The decision was made by a meeting of the provost standing committee on Monday evening

Dhaka University authorities have announced that the newly-elected Dhaka University Central Students' Union (Ducsu) and hall union representatives will assume office on March 23.

The decision was made by a meeting of the provost standing committee on Monday evening.

Prof AKM Saiful Islam Khan, provost of Sir AF Rahman Hall, confirmed, saying: “The Ducsu-elect leaders will attend the first executive body meeting at Ducsu building at 11am Saturday. The vice-chancellor will chair the meeting as the president of Ducsu.”

Similarly, hall union representatives will also assume office. Hall provosts will serve as union president in the very first executive meeting.

All elected representatives will hold office for a year from the day of assuming office.

A total of 259 representatives were elected In the historic Ducsu polls after 28 long years on March 11.
