A fire that broke out at a polythene factory in Lalbagh’s west Islambagh area of Old Dhaka, has been doused.
The blaze was brought under control around 2:10pm on Thursday, which started around 12:40pm and creating panic in the area.
The area’s Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters Duty Officer Ershadul Islam told the Dhaka Tribune that nine firefighting units worked to douse the flames.
The firefighters are yet to determine the cause of the fire and the extent of damage.
No information regarding any injured or casualties have yet been reported, the officer added.
