Prime Minister and Awami League President, Sheikh Hasina has expressed deep shock and commiseration at the death of Awami League Badda unit President and Panel Mayor 1 of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Md Osman Gani.
According to a condolence statement issued on Saturday, the prime minister prayed for the peace of the departed soul and expressed profound sympathy to the bereaved family members.

Awami League General Secretary Lawmaker Obaidul Quader also expressed his profound sorrow and condolence over the death of Osman Gani, announced in a statement expressing his mourning.
He prayed for the departed soul and conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Osman Gani died at Singapore General Hospital around 8:35am on Saturday (Bangladesh time) while undergoing treatment in Singapore General Hospital.
He was 70 years old at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife and four sons.
Late Osman Gani's first namaz-e-janaza will be held in Gulshan Azad Mosque after zuhr prayers and the second namaz-e-janaza will be held in Badda Alatunnessa Higher Secondary School premises after asr prayers. After which, he will be buried in Banani Graveyard on Sunday, September 23.
