A man was killed in a mishap at the Sadarghat Launch Terminal in Dhaka on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Delwar Hossain, 52.
Witnesses said he was saving a seat for a relative on a Barguna-bound launch.
As the launch started to move, Delwar tried to jump over to the vessel next to the one he was on. But he got stuck in between the vessels when they collided and was crushed to death on the spot, said Kotwali police station Inspector Jaan-e-Alam Munshi.
Delwar was a rickshaw-puller who lived in the city’s Mirpur area.
