A large group of students protesting for road safety have assembled at the Housebuilding intersection in Uttara, as well as Bashundhara Gate.
The students, mostly male, are from nearby educational institutes.
Those at Housebuilding are armed with sticks and rods in preparation for attacks. As of 3pm, this group numbers around 1,000.
