A fire gutted nearly 13 shops at Nizambagh in Dhaka’s Kamrangirchar area.
An electric short circuit caused the fire in a stationary shop around 5:55am Friday and engulfed 12 adjoining shops, UNB reported citing fire service sources.
Six units of firefighters doused the fire around 7am.
The affected shop owners claimed the fire caused a loss of Tk10 lakh.
