Social Welfare Minister Rashed Khan Menon was hospitalized following a fall during his morning walk.
The minister sustained injuries to his hip-joint when he fell down in front of the his residence at Dhaka’s Minto Road, around 7am Thursday, according to an official press release from the ministry.
Immediately after the incident, the minister was rushed to Square Hospital, the press release stated.
It also said he would undergo a surgery within two or three days, and sought blessings from all for his recovery.
