A fire broke out on the ground floor of the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) building at Agargaon in Dhaka on Saturday around 8:48pm.
Three units of fire fighters doused the blaze at 9:12pm.
Mahfuz Riban, duty officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters, told the Dhaka Tribune that there were no casualties.
The cause of the fire could not be ascertained immediately, he said, but they were measuring the extent of damage caused by the fire.
