Chhatra League forms body to probe into DU Sufia Kamal hall assault

Bangladesh Chhatra League has formed a four-member panel to probe into the assault on students at Kabi Sufia Kamal Hall of Dhaka University (DU). The committee has been ordered to submit its report within 24 hours, said a press release issued by Chhatra League, the student wing of the ruling Awami League. The members of the committee are central Chhatra League’s Vice Presidents Nusrat Jahan Nupur and Nishita Iqbal Nodi, Chhatra League’s DU unit President Abid Al Hasan and General Secretary Motahar Hossain Prince. Committee member Abid confirmed the matter. There have been allegations that Sufia Kamal hall unit’s Chhatra League chief Iffat Jahan Isha assaulted several quota reform protesters at the hall in the early hours of Tuesday.
