DU Proctor AKM Golam Rabbani tells reporters: “Students should go home right now, and we will discuss the matter and find a solution later. We want a peaceful end to this situation.”
1:45amPushed by police and Chhatra League activists, protesters break into the DU vice-chancellor’s home and vandalize it. They pull out the furniture and set them on fire inside the compound.
Chhatra League DU unit President Abid Al Hasan says miscreants from Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, the BNP student wing, are responsible for this.
2:00amAwami League Joint General Secretary Jahangir Kabir Nanok arrives at Shahbagh and announces that the government will sit down with protesters in the morning.
2:30amMost demonstrators withdraw from the campus after law enforcers push them towards TSC. Some protesters take shelter in Jagannath Hall and Curzon Hall, and the female protesters stay in TSC.

**A total of 161 protestors were injured in the clashes that took place at Dhaka University campus on Sunday. At least 50 protestors were detained.
**At least 35 students of Jahangirnagar University have been injured during protest programs on their campus on Monday.
