Mobile court conducting drive at United Hospital

A mobile court is conducting a drive at the United Hospital in Dhaka. The court, led by Rapid Action Battalion’s Executive Magistrate Sarwar Alam, began the drive at the hospital around 12:30pm on Wednesday. Officials of the Directorate General of Health Services and Directorate General of Drug Administration are also present at the spot. “We are conducting the drive to check machinery of the hospital and to find out if the authorities are selling substandard or expired medicines,” Sarwar said. He said details will be informed at a press briefing later in the day. On February 19, a mobile court fined Apollo Hospital and pharmacy Tk5 lakh for using expired chemical reagents in the lab and selling substandard medicines.
