Several schools in Dhaka to remain closed on Khaleda’s verdict day

Update : 08 Feb 2018, 12:16 AM
A number of private schools in Dhaka have declared that they will remain closed on Thursday, February 8, owing to the verdict on BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in the Zia Orphanage Trust graft case. Mastermind, Maple Leaf, Dhanmondi Tutorial, Sunbeams, and Scholars are among schools that have declared that they will remain closed out of fear that a guilty verdict may elicit violence from members of BNP, according to sources. Scholastica will remain open for official work, but no classes will be held on the day. Meanwhile, even though Viqarunnisa will remain open on Thursday, students have expressed unwillingness to attend classes due to the potential for unrest in Dhaka.
