675 stalls to be set up at Amar Ekushey Book Fair

As many as 675 stalls of 400 organizations will be set up Amar Ekushey Book Fair that is scheduled to begin next month at Bangla Academy in Dhaka. "A total of 400 organizations have submitted their applications seeking permission to install 675 stalls at the upcoming book fair on the Bangla Academy premises. Last year, the number of stalls was 559," said Bangla Academy Director Dr Jalal Ahmed. The names of selected stalls will be published on January 8, he said adding the fares of the stalls would be increased this year. The authorities concerned are taking necessary preparations, including security measures, to hold the book fair successfully, Bangla Academy sources said.
