Cabinet approves felling of 13,000 trees, planting twice as many

Cabinet Secretary Shafiul Alam briefed journalists after the cabinet meeting on Monday afternoon. The proposal was approved on condition that two trees have to be planted for every one cut down. A prior approval of the cabinet is mandatory for cutting down the trees. Of the trees, 4,011 are sellable grown up trees and 9,345 are plants.
