DMP forms probe body to investigate cause of fire

The committee, assigned to investigate into a number of issues including whether the fire incident was an accident or sabotage, will be headed by Additional Commissioner Didar Ahmed. DMP commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia on Wednesday issued an official order in this regard. Other members of the committee are SM Mostak Ahmed, deputy commissioner of Gulshan division; Jamil Hasan, deputy commissioner of DMP headquarters; Sanwar Hossain, additional deputy commissioner of special action group, and Kazi Shafiqual Alam, additional deputy commissioner of detective branch (North). The DMP committee was formed followed by a general dairy (GD) filed on January 3 over the incident. The committee was asked to probe into the cause of the fire, identify whether it was an accident or sabotage, and prepare amount of losses.
