The government has formed a three-member mayoral panel to carry out the regular duties of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) in absence of ailing Mayor Annisul Huq.
The Local Government Ministry issued a circular in this regard on Monday, DNCC Secretary Dulal Krisna Saha told Bangla Tribune.

Ward 21 Councillor Osman Gani was made first panel mayor, Ward 4 Councillor amal Mostofa second and Councillor of Reserved Seat of Ward 31, 32 and 34 Aleya Sarowar Daisy was named as third panel mayor. They will carry out the daily tasks of DNCC in absence of another on seniority basis.
Annisul Huq was admitted to the ICU of a London hospital after he had fallen ill during a family trip to United Kingdom at the end of July.
