Different organizations, stakeholders and individuals may submit their opinions, suggestions or concerns over the draft Detailed Area Plan (DAP) until January 4, 2021.
Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives Minister and convener of the DAP cabinet committee Tajul Islam said: “We have extended the time allotted on the website for two more months, as many stakeholders filed appeals due to Covid-19.”
The minister gave the statement while addressing reporters after a meeting of the newly formed DAP cabinet committee at the Ministry of Housing and Public Works.
Rajhadhi Unnayan Katripakka (Rajuk) finalized the draft DAP on September 2 and shared it on their website for public opinion and recommendations. The original deadline for submissions was November 4.
According to the draft DAP, the height of buildings will be strictly categorized for each area, so that people cannot easily design high-rise buildings. Many developers have pressured the government to cancel the provision.
