Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate Bangladesh's first ever Y-shaped Bridge “Sheikh Hasina Titas Bridge” built over the Titas River joining the Comilla and Brahmanbaria districts.
The Prime Minister is expected to inaugurate the bridge through video conference from Gono Bhaban around 11:30 am on Sunday.
The 771-metre long and 8.10-metre wide bridge was constructed at a total cost of Tk80 crore, Apart from that, Tk12.65 core was spent to build the connecting roads and Tk9.5 was spent to acquire the lands.

The bridge will ease travel across the Muradnagar and Homna upazilas of Comilla district and the Nabinagar and Bancharampur upazilas of Brahmanbaria district.
According to locals, after the inauguration of the bridge, people of the region will experience more development in education, business and medical sectors.
The bridge will also be used as a bypass road connecting to the Chittagong-Dhaka highway.
