A drug addict father has strangled his nine-month-old daughter to death near Shahartali area of Jamalpur on Sunday.
The accused is Bipul Mia, a resident of Kompapur village of Jamalpur town.
Jamalpur OC Mujibar Rahman Majumdar disclosed the information of the death to the Dhaka Tribune.
He said: “Bipul asked his wife Seema Begum for money, and they became locked in a feud at around noon. When Seema refused to give him money, he strangled their only daughter Bithi to death.”
After receiving the information, police rushed to the scene and nabbed Bipul, the OC added.
