Police have recovered four firearms and 53 rounds of bullets from a residence in sadar upazila of Lakshmipur district.
Two teams of BD police conducted the drive around 11pm Monday.
Police Super Mizan Shafiur Rahman said: “Acting on a tip-off, two teams of DB police raided the house and recovered four firearms and 53 rounds of ammunition.”
However, the criminals fled the house sensing the presence of the law enforcers, he said.
The SP said a case was filed under the arms act regarding the matter.
