Stalkers attack girl, relatives’ house

According to local sources, a sixth grader girl went to her grandfather’s house at the village in the morning. Later, she went to visit Udgari College campus nearby the house with her relatives. At one stage, Sajib, a student of the college and son of Sarwar Badsha, and his cohorts teased the girl. The relatives with the girl protested the incident. The criminals led by Sajib assaulted them physically on the campus. Later, they made a complaint against Sajib and his cohorts with the college authority. Afterwards, Sajib and his cohorts attacked the girl and her relatives leaving them critically injured. On information, police went to the spot and brought the situation under control. Soumitra Kumar Kunda, officer-in-charge of Kazipur police station, said: “We have been informed about the incident. We have not written complaint yet.” A team of police visited the spot, he added.
