Shihab was handed over to the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Police yesterday noon for interrogation.
Police said he has been taken to a Detective Branch (DB) office.
One Ansar member was killed and three other security personnel at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport were injured when a person in a cleaner’s uniform attacked them with a knife on November 6.
Police arrested the perpetrator identified as Shihab.
Airport police Inspector (investigation) Azaz Shafique said Shihab was admitted to DMCH. The DMCH authority discharged Shihab yesterday.
A CTTC unit took him in for interrogation soon after.
CTTC has also taken over the investigation regarding this matter.
