Police have recovered bodies of two women from the Gajariapara forest area of Gazipur on Friday evening.
One of the deceased, has been identified as Saleha Begum (60), wife of late Abdul Majid, of Gajariapara of Gazipur Sadar Upazila while the another one could not be identified immediately.
Sub-Inspector Rafiqul Islam of Hotapara police outpost, under Joydebpur Police, said locals informed the police, seeing the body of a woman inside the forest at Gahariapara area around 6pm.
Police later recovered the body and sent it to Shahid Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
Police also recovered a bloodstained blade in the victim's hand.
Hearing the news, family members of the deceased identified her as Saleha Begum. Police suspects that the deceased might have committed suicide using the blade.
Meanwhile, Sreepur Model Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Suhrawardi Hossain said people saw the body of a woman, aged about 30, lying in the forest when they went to gather firewood inside the forest to the north of the Dark Composite Factory Satiyabari area in Shreepur district. Being informed, police recovered the body and found injuries on the victim's head.
She was wearing cloths that had pink and black stripes. It is suspected that miscreants dumped the body after killing her about three-four days ago.
