A Jubo League activist has been shot dead by miscreants at Raozan upazila in Chittagong.
The deceased is Md Shahid, 35, the son of Ali Ahmed of Charabat Tal area in Raozan.
Officer-in-Charge of Raozan police station Pradip Kumar Das disclosed the information to the Dhaka Tribune.
OC Pradip Kumar said miscreants had opened fire on Shahid who was behind an iron grill shop at Charabat Tal around 4pm on Wednesday, and then they fled from the scene immediately, leaving him dead on the spot.
Bullet marks in his head and chest were spotted, and the body was sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) for autopsy, the OC added.
The reason behind the murder could not be ascertained and no one was arrested in this connection, the OC said.
