CID sub-inspector found dead at home

A member of police's Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has been found hanging by the neck at his home in Dhaka. Pallabi police Officer-in-Charge Dadan Fakir told the Dhaka Tribune that Sub-Inspector Hasnain Rabbani was found dead in his family residence in Pallabi around 9pm Friday night. "His hometown is Jessore and he was temporarily suspended from the force," he said. Police were suspecting the death to be a suicide but were looking closely into the incident, the OC said. The body is being sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue, he added.
