Police have arrested two Shibir activists while they were trying to hurl petrol bomb on vehicles at Shibbari intersection of Gazipur town.
The arrestees are Ruman, 30, son of Sanuar Hossain of Tankirpar area of the town; and Nasir Uddin, 24, son of Abdus Samad of the Munshipara area.
Joydebpur OC Khandaker Rezaul Hasan said the Shibir men were arrested around 2:30pm on Friday.
He said police shot them while they were trying to throw petrol bomb on vehicles and then seized the bombs from them.
They were admitted to Gazipur Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital for treatment.
Residencial medical officer of the hospital Abdus Salam said the wounded Shibir activists were referred to National Orthopedic Hospital in Dhaka after primary treatment.
