Outlawed party man killed in gunfight

The deceased was identified as Belel Hossain, who was a resident of Jugnipasha village of the upzila. Police also recovered one shooter gun, four bombs,  and two rounds of bullets from the spot. Police sources said Belal was accused in nine cases filed with different police station of the district. Asaduzzaman, officer-in-charge of Fultala police station, told the Dhaka Tribune that police during a patrol noticed presence of some members of the PBCP and gave them signal to stop. But the extremists opened fire at them, prompting a retaliation that triggered a gunfight. At one stage, Belal was caught in the line of fire and received bullet injuries while others managed to flee the scene. Belal was taken to Fatullah Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared him dead.  Four policemen were also injured in the incident, said sources at police.
