The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) members have arrested two miscreants with three crude bombs from Radhanagar-Hatubhanga area under Harinakundu upazila in Jhenaidah.
The arrestees are Matiar Rahman, son of late Ansar Ali of Radhanagar village under Harinakundu upazila; and Tila Mandal, son of late Azahar Mandal of Gabindapur village under Sailkupa upazila of the district.
Squadron leader Niaz Mohammad Foysal, company commander of RAB 6 said: “Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB 6 raided the area on Saturday night and arrested them with three crude bombs.”
They were handed over to Harinakundu police, he said.
The arrestees were involved in criminal activities in Jhenaidah, Chuadanga and Kushtia for last few years.
A case was filed with Harinakundu police station in this connection, added the official.
