Two persons have been hacked to death at Maijuddin Madbarkandi village under Dattapara union of Shibchar upazila in Madaripur district on Thursday night.
The deceased are Milon Howlader, 28, son of Adel Howlader and Abbas Sardar, 35, son of Majid Sardar of Sardarkandi.
Police and local sources said a feud took place between Rafi Sardar of Dattapara Union and Milon Sardar of Kandi village around 8pm on Thursday night.
Milon was taking tea from a tea stall at Madbarkandi. Suddenly Didar called him for talk on an important issue. Milon responded the call and went to a little distance from the tea stall where miscreants hacked him to death.
When Abbas Sardar, Milon's nephew, came forward to save him, the miscreants stabbed him indiscriminately.
Later, Abbas rushed to Faridpur Medical College Hospital. He died there at 2am in the night.
Abdur Rob Hawlader, elder brother of Milon, filed a murder case with Shibchar Police Station accusing ten including Didar Sikder.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdus Sattar of Shibchar Police Station said a case has been filed in this connection.
We initiated investigation to figure out the motive behind the murders also initiated drives to arrest criminals, he said.
