The police have detained five suspected members of the outlawed Jamaatul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB)from Mymensingh's Fulbaria upazila on Monday.
The detainees are teacher of Jorbaria Girls' Dakhil Madrasa Abdul Barek Munshi, 45, Touhiduzzaman Abu, 27, Abdul Hannan,26, Md Twel, 25, and Tajamul Haque, 45.
Fulbaria police station Officer-in-Charge Refat Khan Rajib said: “We have picked them up, conducting a special drive from different part of the upazila on Monday.”
“We are suspecting that they have close link with JMB and are planning to conduct subversive activities. They are being questioning now.”
