The Anti-Narcotics Department has seized 1000 Lupigesic (0.3 mg) ampoules of injection from a bus in Natore on Wednesday.
Being tipped off, a team of anti narcotics department conducted a sudden drive in a Dhaka bound Desh Paribahan bus and seized the sex stimulating contrabands from a language of a couple at Banbelgharia area of Natore Sadar upazila.
The couple Jony, 27 and Salma Akhtar, 18, hailed from Keraniganj in Dhaka was also arrested for carrying such illegal drugs.
Shahjahan Khan, inspector of anti-narcotics department, Natore branch led the drive around 3:40pm.
“We seized the ampoules also arrested the duo and filling a case in this connection is in process,” the inspector told the Dhaka Tribune.
Officer-in-Charge of Natore Sadar Police Station Faridul Islam also confirmed the incident.
